Michael: Jake in case you didn't know, Obama was born in Hawaii into a household that was below the poverty line. His father abandoned him and when he was around 6 he moved to Indonesia where he lived in even harsher poverty. He moved back to the states when he was 10. He moved to LA after high school where he got a full ride academic scholarship to Colombia and a few years later, Harvard law school as well. President Obama lived in poverty Jake which is below the middle class. So please don't preach that Obama doesn't understand the middle class. And average person does pay for air plane fuel...it's part of the ticket cost. Also the average person doesn't need security, the average person is the president....

If he was I would admit but believe me, he is far from being a socialist.Also Marxist-Socialist is neither a word or an Ideology held by anyone. And you wanna talk about Socialism? England, Denmark, Canada ,Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, and wait for it..... Israel! They are all Socialist nation that are almost all better off than our nation because college is free and health insurance is not a privilege but a right. And please do some research Socialism is not a form of Communism because Communism does not believe in government while Socialism does.
Also communism failed because people are selfish and can't take just what they need and not what they want. Humans are not a solitary race, we travel in packs and herds. We don't want to fend for ourselves, we want to be loved and fell like there are others that will help us. So in fact, Communism is our natural state of being. Its all psychology.
Capitalism is the proper way???? You were alive in 2008, what in the world do you think caused this recession? It was the commies, the anarchist, or the socialist, it was the good old fashioned capitalist. They were greedy, they did not care about this nation, and they took advantage of our flawed capitalistic system. So do not say that capitalism is the proper way because in fact it the wrong way. It fucked up this nation in a way that might never be fixed.
And while I agree that this government is a corrupt and dysfunctional. Less government is not really the answer, just a better one.
Me (talking to y'all on Tumblr): This is what's wrong with our country. It's people like him the don't realize the difference between what's right and what's wrong. Let's hope I'm wrong that everything is going to turn out okay.
It's not going to turn out okay. It's going to get worse and worse until it looks like Armageddon. Capitalism is one of the worst systems that can exist, a system based solely off of greed. Money corrupted this world, the presence of money brings the presence of worthlessness to even the thing money is required for to purchase. Unless we realize that trading KNOWLEDGE is the ONLY way to go. We're all doomed.
